インフルエンザの予防接種って本当に必要？

インフルエンザワクチンの有効性は！？

毎年11月くらいになると、「インフルエンザの予防接種どうする？」といった会話が必ず聞かれます。

保険がきかないため金額が高く、13歳歳以下の小児は2回接種が必要や、インターネットでインフルエンザワクチンを調べると、有効性が無いや製薬会社のためだという記事も多くあります。

「インフルエンザってワクチンって打ってもかかるよね…… 」　そうなんです、インフルエンザワクチンは、他のワクチンに比べて高い有効性がないのは事実です。

厚生労働省のHPを見ると、「インフルエンザ発病防止に対するワクチンの有効率は、60％。つまりワクチンを接種せずに発病した方の60％はワクチンを接種していれば発病を予防できたことになります。現行のインフルエンザワクチンは接種すれば絶対にかからないものではありません。

しかし、インフルエンザの発病を予防することや発病後の重症化や死亡を予防することに関しては一定の効果があるとされています。

それを踏まえ、予防接種するか、しないかは個人の判断に委ねられます。

インフルエンザワクチン以外の予防法は！？

手洗い、うがい、これが重要です！ 　石鹸での手洗いに加えて、擦式アルコール製剤も家や会社に一つ置いて使用するのもお勧めです。現在は便利な携帯用もあります。

人混みに行くときは、マスクの着用。 　咳やくしゃみが出るときはセキエチケットとしてマスクの着用、また風邪症状があるときも早めにマスクの着用を心がけましょう

室内の換気、加湿を行う

まとめ

インフルエンザの予防接種は、発症を60％抑えることができるので、やったほうがいい。

しかし、100％インフルエンザにならないわけではないので、やるかやらないかは、リスクも理解したうえで、本人・家族の判断が必要！
